Audience: Grants Management Offices (GMOs)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the Intake Review, when an application is marked No<\/strong>, it is ineligible and may be closed by the Grants Management Officer (GMO) from the \u201cApplication Screening\u201d page. Prior to closing ineligible applications, the GMO first needs to confirm ineligibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To confirm ineligibility and close applications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log into the GrantSolutions GMM (www.grantsolutions.gov<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. From the menu bar, select Applications \u2192 Application Screening.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. The \u201cApplication Screening\u201d page appears. Enter search criteria<\/strong> in one or more field, including Announcement, Program, Grant Program, Application Type, Eligibility Status, Business Review Status, Application Number,<\/em> and Grant Number<\/em>. When searching for ineligible applications, select No<\/strong> from the Eligibility Status<\/em> dropdown list. Click the Search<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. The results display in a table below the search fields. The Actions<\/em> column contains several links.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        Action Links<\/th>Description<\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
        Intake Review<\/td>Opens the \u201cIntake Review\u201d screen for the application.<\/td><\/tr>
        Business Review<\/td>Opens the \u201cBusiness Review\u201d screen for the application.<\/td><\/tr>
        View Full Review<\/td>Opens the \u201cApplication Full Review\u201d screen, which includes the Intake and Business Reviews.<\/td><\/tr>
        Application Notes<\/td>Opens the \u201cApplication Notes\u201d screen to view or add notes.<\/td><\/tr>
        Confirm Ineligible<\/td>Confirms the application is ineligible. Once selected, the application may be closed by the GMO.<\/td><\/tr>
        Unconfirm Ineligible<\/td>Removes the Confirm Ineligible<\/em> status and the application may no longer be closed.<\/td><\/tr>
        Mark Eligible<\/td>Marks the application as eligible and changes the status to Review in Progress<\/em>.<\/td><\/tr>
        In Review<\/td>Changes the Intake Review status to In Review<\/em>.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

        1. Click the Confirm Ineligible<\/strong> link.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          1. The screen refreshes and the Screening Status<\/em> changes to Ineligibility Confirmed: Yes<\/em>. The application may now be closed. From the first column of the application row, select the checkbox<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Towards the bottom of the screen, select the Close With Notification<\/strong> or the Close Without Notification<\/strong> button. The Close with Notification button sends an email to the applicant letting them know their application was not eligible.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Tip<\/strong>: To close multiple applications marked as Ineligibility Confirmed: Yes<\/em>, select the checkbox<\/strong> to the left of each application and click the appropriate Close<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. The screen refreshes and the closed application is removed from the results table.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
